EDITORIAL
A year full of good experiences
I commented in a previous editorial on the
importance of cycles in business and
people's lives. Well, here is an excellent
example. We have completed our first year of
existence!
As a monthly magazine,
newDATAmagazine is both a project and a
process. It is a monthly project in terms of
each issue, with a clearly identified beginning
and end and a set of allocated resources. It is
a process because its mission does not end
with each edition. Together, the various
editions constitute an ecosystem with its
own identity that grows and evolves month
after month in a cycle that feeds back and
adds content and value.

The 12 issue of the magazine was
published last April, completing the cycle of
the first year of existence, and with this issue,
the 13 , we open the doors to the 2 year.

Talking about the first twelve issues of the
newDATAmagazine is easy! It is always easy
and pleasant to talk about good experiences
when things go well, and the satisfaction with
the initiative is very high. I think I can speak
for my colleagues Margarida and André,
whom I have so much to thank!
We are a small, united, and mature team,
and we have fantastic directors who give us
much support in each edition. Of the authors,
much and very well could be said. Many very
good people and excellent professionals
selflessly give their knowledge, contributing
to a knowledge economy that uses sharing
as a catalyst for collective intelligence and
believes that "none of us knows more than all
of us."
It's true, and we live it every day!

For ease of writing, I use the term author to
refer to both authors and women authors: the
sex or gender of the person writing is
perfectly indifferent to me because the value
and focus are on the person's ideas and not
on other characteristics. The youngest
author, to date, is 20 years old, and the oldest
is 65. The least experienced author is still a
student, and the most experienced is already
in professional retirement. And it is so lovely
that we can all dialogue on the same
platform, reading each other! Let's set an
example!
We don't need to "sell the magazine idea"
because it speaks for itself. If some authors
find more proximity with some concepts,
others see opportunity and interest in others.
If, on the one hand, the fact that we publish
content framed by 27 keywords dedicated to
current and valuable topics facilitates this
attraction, on the other, it clearly exposes the
relevance of the edition.
We publish monthly content with
independence, welcoming one author's ideas
and the contrary of another and accepting
the argumentation and factuality that both
present as part of an enriching dialogue that
we promote.
Still celebrating our first year of existence,
we are already living the second at a great
pace, and I hope you will join us on our
journey, because many good news await us,
which only make sense when shared.
